Instructions
To make braised country style ribs, first preheat the oven to 300ºF. Once that has been done, follow these procedures:
1. Pat the ribs dry, then season with the Old Bay Seasoning. Add the salt to give it taste together with the pepper. Once that has been done, heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a Dutch oven. Brown the ribs by cooking in batches until all sides are browned then remove all of the ribs to a plate.
2. Once that has been done, add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the pan. Also add the carrot, celery and onion bulb and then cook until softened. Note that this process only takes nothing less than 3-4 minutes. After 4 minutes, add the garlic and cook another minute. Add the tomato paste as well and cook. Keep stirring to cook out the raw flavor for just a few more minutes. Now stir in the apple cider vinegar to deglaze the pan, then carefully add the bay leaves and red pepper flakes. Once that is done, season with salt to taste and pepper (if needed).
3. Place the ribs back into the pan and add the chicken stock (be sure that it reaches about halfway up the sides of the ribs.) Bring to a simmer. Once that is done, cover the pan and transfer to the oven. Cook until the ribs become tender. Note that this process takes about 2 hours. When about ½ hour remains, uncover the pan so as to allow the liquid to reduce a bit and for the pork to brown.
4. When the ribs are fully done, carefully remove the pan from the oven to the stove then transfer the ribs to a plate. Cover lightly with foil so as to keep warm. Whisk together the water as well as the cornstarch then stir into the liquid in the pan. Be sure to cook it over medium heat. Cook until the sauce is slightly thickened, and if desired, add the ribs back into the pan so as to be coated by the liquid.
Serve the ribs over creamy polenta or mashed potatoes. Garnish with parsley, if desired.

Marinated country style pork ribs oven
Country style ribs are usually cut from the end of the pork loin closest to the shoulder. They are often found boneless, but if there happen to be a bone in them, the bone is usually a part of the shoulder blade, and not the rib bone. So therefore, the meat you are getting here is technically not a rib meat, but a loin meat. Then why are they called “ribs”? You may wonder. This is likely because their flavor and texture is very similar to that of ribs.

Boneless country style ribs dry rub oven
Country ribs is usually a really tough cut of meat, but with a little low and slow cooking, these ribs can be transformed into something delicious.
Cooking time: 1½ hours
Prep time: 10 minutes
Dry Rub:
1. 1 tablespoon Cayenne
2. 2 tablespoon chili powder
3. 1 tablespoon garlic powder
4. ½ tablespoon mustard powder
5. 1 tablespoon black pepper, ground
6. 2 tablespoon brown sugar
7. 2 teaspoon salt to taste.
8. 4 Country ribs
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 325° as you get the rub together. Mix together the cayenne, garlic powder, chili powder, mustard powder, pepper, brown sugar and salt to taste.
2. Once that is done, lay out your ribs and sprinkle half of the mixture on top of them. Also, rub the seasoning into the meat, flip, and repeat with the other half of the mixture.
3. Once you have finished applying the rub, them tightly in plastic wrap, and put them in the refrigerator for about 3 hours. this is do that they can absorb as much flavor as possible. The longer time period will pay off in the end.
4. Break out your favorite roasting pan with a rack. Pour an inch of water in the pan as this is going to keep the meat moist. Spread out the ribs separately as this will ensure that the heat will be able to reach all the sides of the rib. Be sure that the fat side of the rib is on top as this will baste the rib in the fat through the long cooking time. To trap that moisture, cover it in aluminum foil. And if the ribs are poking out of the pan, all you need to do is to create a tent over the top.
5. Now put them in the oven for just 1 hour. After 1 hour, remove the foil and apply your favorite barbeque sauce and cover again with foil and cook another 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and apply more BBQ sauce, carefully place back in the oven for another 5 minutes.
Your tender, juicy and flavorful ribs is ready to be served.
