People have been using apple cider vinegar (ACV) for hundreds of years as food and medicine for themselves and their pets. From the time of Hippocrates, who used a mixture of vinegar and honey as an energizing tonic and healing elixir, to modern authors who benefit from everything from acne and allergies to sinus infections and high cholesterol, acid reflux and chronic fatigue to weight loss and even premature aging. Apparently, ACV does it all.
There are several theories about what causes hair loss and hair dandruff. Many experts believe that it is due to poor metabolism. Some believe that it is caused by unsanitary scalp and conditions such as dandruff, psoriasis, and seborrhea. Others still believe that hormones are the main cause of hair loss.
Causes of Hair Loss and Dandruff Hair
Hair loss affects both men and women throughout the industrial world and has many causes, most of which vary on an individual basis. The most common cause of hair loss in the world is male baldness pattern, which usually begins between the ages of 20 and 40. Typically, it starts at the hairline or temples and works its way back; the back male pattern of hair loss can begin with a bald patch at the top of the head and spreads from there. Male hair loss pattern is genetically inheritable; usually through your mother’s recesses-if your maternal grandfather had a male hair loss pattern, you will.
While it is called “male pattern hair loss,” one of the causes of hair loss in women is the same-when women hit menopause, they stop producing estrogen, and the ratio of estrogen to testosterone shifts, which can cause hair to thin, and fall out, although it tends to form more like pattern two (bald spot) hair loss than a receding hairline or fading out of the temples.
Other causes of hair loss include fungal infections such as ringworm and associated parasites. They infect the scalp and interfere with the follicles of the hair. It is usually found in children or rural areas, and can be remedied with fungicidal shampoos that your doctor may prescribe for your child and stop hair loss; fortunately, once the infection is contained, your hair will eventually grow back, though it will be thinner. Other diseases that can cause hair loss include diabetes and thyroid disorders, which slow down the body’s ability to generate new hair; being on the right medication for these conditions can improve or stop hair loss. Liver and kidney disease can also hinder the growth of the hair.
For women, another cause of hair loss is a hormone imbalance called polycystic ovarian syndrome. It causes cysts in the ovaries, hinders the production and absorption of estrogens and makes the hair thin. It requires lifelong hair loss treatment. Chemicals that are ingested or used cosmetically may cause hair loss, especially any hair stripping or clogging of the pores, and poor diet and nutrition may cause your hair the absence of protective oils, making it dull and brittle. Taking a good multivitamin and eating a lot of protein will help stop this kind of hair loss. While genetics and hormones are the primary causes of hair loss, it ‘s important if you’re focusing on stopping hair loss, to be aware of the multiple causes of hair loss-they’ll help you sort out the hair loss treatment regimen that works for you.
While hair loss affects both men and women, the symptoms and root hair loss causes vary between the sexes; the main cause is androgenic hormones-the imbalance between naturally produced testosterone and estrogens in the body; when testosterone predominates, hair loss begins. Most men have androgen hair loss as their bodies leave puberty, and testosterone levels do not drop at the same rate as the levels of estrogen. Women suffer androgenic hair loss after menopause, although hormone replacement therapy may mask it. Other common causes include poor diet and nutrition, stress , smoking and scalp damage.
Causes of Hair Loss for Women: Hair loss is mostly caused by hormones, so anything that affects hormonal levels or balance will cause some symptoms of hair loss in women. These include hormonal birth control, such as The Pill and NuvaRing, and some natural supplements that help stimulate weight loss and muscle growth act like progesterone and testosterone, causing similar effects. If you find that your hair is thinning as a result of birth control pills or other medications, look for estrogen replacements, such as soy products, or talk to your doctor about a hair loss remedy.
Causes of Hair Loss For Men: Hereditary Hair Loss is the biggest cause of hair loss, male baldness. Other patterns for male pattern alopecia hair loss are immunological. When the body produces DHT in excess, the immune system attacks the hair follicles as an infectious agent. Rogaine and the like are medical hair loss treatments to counteract this.
How can you Stop Hair Loss
There’s no doubt a lot of hair loss treatments out there to choose from. However, the best ones to fight thin hair are usually those that work naturally. If you can naturally rejuvenate your hair, you will never need to take those expensive treatments that often cause more harm than good.
Apple vinegar is one of the most unique substances on the planet for the treatment of alopecia. What makes this natural product work so well? It serves three uses for your hair, first of all. It’s a conditioner, a germ killer, as well as a cleaning agent. It also works to balance the pH levels of your hair and scalp.
Your hair is naturally acidic with a pH level between 4.5 and 5.5. Apple cider vinegar has a pH of 2.9 which is very close to that of your hair. When you compare that to what is found in many of the shampoos, hair sprays and hair colors that we all use today, you’ll see a big difference. These products are usually packed with alkaline and other chemicals that can strip off your hair.
What you can do to help boost hair growth is right after you shampoo your hair, rinse your hair with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. Not only will this wash away oils and various other debris left behind by many haircare products, but it will also feed your follicles. It wouldn’t hurt to keep a jar of apple cider vinegar mixed with water in your shower for quick treatment whenever you shampoo your hair. Apple Cider has a variety of benefits for those who want to use it.
Apple Cider Vinegar hair Benefits
• Skin toner
This product can be used to improve the complexion of the skin. The malic and lactic acids in the vinegar actually work to improve the appearance of the skin. It balances the PH on your skin, which causes your skin to look healthier. It’s very easy to use as a toner.
All you need to do is mix the apple vinegar with water at a ratio of 1:1. Some people, however, use it undiluted, even though this concentration is too high, and most people can not bear it because it stings. It’s a good idea to apply a diluted amount of apple toner to a small surface area first to see how the skin reacts. The ratio of dilution for beginners should be 1:8. If there is no reaction, you can continue to use the toner and increase the concentration if you wish. Other ingredients may also be added to the toner, such as green tea or fragrant oils. Scented oils are particularly good for toners, because not many people can tolerate their smell. Most people prefer to use organic vinegar over regular vinegar because of its mild nature. Therefore, if you are planning to use organic vinegar as a toner, you should shake well before applying it.
• Treatment for acne
This product contains anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties. It works to balance the PH of your skin so as to prevent it from breaking out. Skin with a good PH balance is neither too oily nor too dry, and it remains smooth and supple. The skin has an acid mantle that can be easily washed away when we wash our face. Although the skin immediately replaces the mantle naturally, harsh products or cleaning may damage the mantle and cause it to malfunction. As a result , most people will experience acne. An apple cider vinegar helps to restore balance, and your skin can return to normal functioning.
• Use it as a hair rinse
Cider vinegar is a great formula you can use to add shine to your hair and remove build up. Acetic acid in vinegar will get rid of the build-up of hair oils and products. In addition, it will soften and strengthen your hair. It’s going to get rid of dandruff, too. It is not recommended for colored hair because the color is removed. The apple cider rinse is very easy to use. All you’ve got to do is mix a cup of cider with a quarter cup of water. Shampoo your hair well, then apply the cider. Leave it on for one minute and then rinse it off. After using the cider, you don’t have to use a conditioner. If you smell the cider on your hair, you don’t have to worry about it; the smell will go away once your hair is dry. You can also add a few things to the mixture, such as lemon drops or essential oils.
• Use it to detoxify
This mixture can detoxify the body by gently removing toxins from the body and cleaning your blood. It also builds up your immune system. This product has been used in many detoxification schemes and forms the basis for many diets. It detoxifies the body by neutralizing free radicals and catalyzes the lymphatic system to eliminate body waste.
• Use it to increase energy levels
It’s known to increase one’s energy levels when they feel lethargic. It increases stamina and helps you train hard if you’re a person going to a gym.
• Use it to increase metabolism
Apple cider has been known to increase metabolism due to its high combination of minerals and vitamins that aid digestion. It’s also high in metabolism, which is a good catalyst for metabolism.
• Use it to suppress appetite
It’s the best tool to help you shed those extra stubborn pounds by suppressing your appetite if you get hungry between meals. When combined with a good exercise program, it will go a long way to helping you achieve a healthy weight.
• Use it to relieve bloating
It is a good remedy for bloating, especially for those who carry excess water weight around during the menstrual cycle. This is because it is considered a diuretic and therefore easily gets rid of the weight of the water.
• Use it to stabilize sugar levels
For those with diabetes, this is a good product to use when you need to stabilize your sugar levels. When insulin levels rise, the body is advised to store fat. This is not healthy and therefore, the use of apple cider helps to stabilize sugar levels and reduce insulin levels.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR HAIR RINSE RECIPE
Here’s the easy recipe that I like.
INGREDIENTS:
Apple Cider Vinegar (use anywhere between half a tablespoon and four tablespoons) – I like to use 2 tablespoons.
Aloe Vera Gel (the heaping tablespoon). That’s not necessary; honestly, water + ACV would be fine, but I think the aloe vera just feels really good on my scalp + adds a little extra shine.
Water (8 oz)
Squeeze Bottle (this is really important because the squeeze bottle is your applicator. You could always just pour it on your head, but this allows you to apply it more precisely, directly to your scalp.
How to use Apple Cider Vinegar for Hair
THE DIRECTION:
Decide how much of the ACV you want to use.
As mentioned above, you can use anywhere between 1/2 – 4 tablespoons. If your hair is oily, use more, and if your hair is dry, use less. My hair is pretty dry and I’ve found that two tablespoons is a magic number.
Combine all the ingredients in a plastic bottle.
Shake vigorously (and shake it again every time you use it – the aloe vera gel can settle down to the bottom so you want to make sure it’s combined).
How to use apple cider vinegar
Apple vinegar can promote healthier skin and hair as well as be beneficial to health. For more specific ways in which apple cider can help treat specific conditions, contact a nutritionist who will be better equipped to answer specific questions. You can try apple cider vinegar in some of the following ways for more general use.
Internal use
Research has shown that ACV can assist the body in its day-to-day functions as well as in the fight against colds and influenza. It helps digestion, lowers bad cholesterol, strengthens the heart, lowers blood pressure and stabilizes blood sugar. It also contains antioxidants that help fight some types of cancer. It can cure stomach upset by drinking it as a daily tonic.
Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and honey in a glass of water to make your own daily tonic. Usually, one tablespoon of ACV and one tablespoon of honey in 8 ounces of hot or cold water would be a general guideline, but feel free to adjust this recipe to your personal preferences. There are other ways to drink it, too. You could add it to apple juice or add some fresh cinnamon to neutralize its taste (some coffee shops serve cinnamon stick apple cider).
External use
If your legs are tired and ache, give them a bath. Put half a cup of apple cider vinegar in a hot water bathtub. Wiggle your toes around and let your legs soak for a few minutes. A footbath is a great way to relax before going to bed.
If your body is too acidic, take a bath of vinegar. To restore the acid to alkaline balance in your body, simply add 1 to 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to a warm bath. Soak your body for 45 minutes or so. Aside from removing excess acid from your body, a vinegar bath helps anyone with a dry or irritated skin to feel soft.
If the baths aren’t your thing, consider mixing a cup of ACV and hot water in a spray bottle. After your shower, spray the mixture on your entire body. Wait a couple of minutes and rinse. Your whole body is going to feel refreshed.
Apple Cider Vinegar Dandruff Cure
The dandruff is caused by yeasts such as Malassezia Globosa or Pityrosporum Ovale, which like oil secreting glands around hair follicles. These yeast fungi feed on the oil (sebum) that has been secreted from the glands and clog the pores on your scalp. Some people are sensitive to the yeast, and it irritates their skin, which is trying to get rid of the fungus by flaking, resulting in dandruff.
Apple cider vinegar kills the fungus and helps restore the acid / alkaline balance of the scalp. It’ll add a great shine to your hair, too.
To properly cure apple cider vinegar dandruff, try the following recipe:
Wash your hair with a mild, pH-friendly shampoo. You don’t have to use a dandruff shampoo because the apple cider vinegar will gradually get rid of the dandruff problem.
Mix together two pieces of apple cider vinegar and one piece of warm water. Adding a few drops of essential oils, such as lavender or rosemary, will help to clean your scalp and add a fragrance to your hair. (Always remember to patch allergy test oils and always consult your doctor if you are pregnant).
Place the mixture directly over clean hair or put it in a bottle and spray onto your scalp. Massage in and let the mixture dry on your hair. It doesn’t need to be rinsed out (unless the smell bothers you).
Try a stronger mixture for more stubborn dandruff, such as a one-to-one ratio of vinegar to water. You could even try using undiluted vinegar and apply it directly to the scalp. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, then wash the cider out with a mild, pH-balanced shampoo.
If you use raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar to treat your dandruff, you’ll get the best results. Lemon juice can also be used instead of apple cider vinegar.
It is the acid in these remedies that helps bring the scalp back to the chemical balance.
So, the apple cider vinegar dandruff cure is a great little home remedy to get rid of dandruff, and it’s easier on your skin than a lot of off-the-shelf shampoos.
OK, this Is jaw-dropping. Keep up the good work. Appreciate all the efforts you put in here. Stay safe!
